Therapy that is focused on YOU

Clinical counselling for adults and youth in Port Moody, BC.

Life is an interesting journey

Maybe you’re enduring a complicated transition. Feeling overwhelmed, or anxious about what’s next?

Perhaps you’re feeling alone… wondering where meaningful connections have gone, or feeling judged by family and friends.

Maybe you’ve been through a painful or traumatic experience, and are feeling ready to begin processing what has happened to you.

We help adults and youth better understand their internal experience.

We help clients with a variety of issues including:

anxiety - depression - relationship challenges - parenting concerns - developmental trauma - life transitions - work stress - grief - traumatic events - LGBTQ+ issues - overwhelm - identity concerns - boundary setting - feelings of inadequacy - shame

No topic is off limits… but here are some we hear a lot.

  • You often find yourself overthinking or planning for the worst-case-scenario. You feel stressed and are noticing it is hard to relax.

  • Perhaps you’re feeling sad, lonely, or numb. Where your emotions used to be there may be a dull, painful, grey.

  • You’re quicker to anger than you used to be, and overwhelmed about getting this parenting thing “right”. Maybe you know the parenting you received is not the goal you have for how you want to raise your own children.

  • You need to talk about the inner workings of your relationship but find it difficult to confide in family or friends. Perhaps you’re feeling unseen, or uncared for.

While we can’t change the past…

We can explore what has happened to you and how it may be impacting what you’re experiencing now.

All of our counsellors focus on building safety and stability in the relationship first. It is our hope that this safety will allow you to explore freely whatever is going on for you.

We will invite you to talk about what has happened, feel emotions in your body, and notice what these emotions may be trying to communicate to you.

It is possible to get help with…

  • Feeling valued, heard, and understood

  • Setting meaningful boundaries and limits

  • Better understanding your bodily felt-sense of your emotions

  • Understanding the different parts of yourself, and what you are needing to feel better

  • Seeing systems at work in your relationships
