Work with Us

We are seeking a relationally attuned, emotionally present, and values-aligned counsellor (RCC, CCC, MSW, or PsyD) to join our practice as an Independent Contractor. Our centre specializes in couples work through an attachment-based, trauma-informed lens—drawing heavily from the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) model.

This is a unique opportunity to work independently while feeling deeply supported, respected, and connected within a collaborative, heart-centered environment.

At Alara, we believe that healing happens in safe relationships. Our work is rooted in the principles of secure attachment, emotional safety, and deep respect for the individual and collective journeys of our clients. We serve a diverse range of couples and individuals, and we are committed to inclusive, anti-oppressive, and Queer-affirming practice.

We are looking for someone who:

As a counsellor in BC. You may be an RCC, CCC, MSW, or Registered Psychologist. You are a member of a regulatory body, or in pursuit of becoming a member. You hold a minimum of a master’s degree.

Likes being a part of a team

Interested in working with Couples

We want to become the most-trusted referral source for clinicians in the tri-cities area who are seeking EFT couples therapy for their individual clients. Other experiential and somatic modalities welcomed!

Relationally Focused

Ideally your practice is attuned to relational dynamics, attachment theory, and is trauma-informed. We want to work with folks who value client-centered, anti-oppressive, and LGBTQ2S+ affirming approaches to therapy.

Values Presence

You bring self-awareness, emotional presence, and integrity to your work. You are open to feedback from your clients, and truly want to see them well.

What we offer:

  • Competitive fee split (open to discussion based on experience, certifications etc.)
