Your relationship is struggling…

Or maybe you’ve got a good thing going on… and want to make it even better.

Lucky for you.. relationships are our specialty. We can’t wait to meet you.

This likely isn’t where you thought you would be…

You don’t feel as connected as you once did. Or maybe you’re having the same fight over and over. Living as roommates isn’t exactly what you had in mind… Something needs to change!

Perhaps there has been deceit, or infidelity, and trust has been broken. Or maybe you’re longing for a deeper level of intimacy or romantic connection.

There are proven methods that can help.

Couples therapy can help you and your partner get to the heart of what’s challenging you, and rebuild your relationship in a more satisfying way. You can learn to resolve conflicts, better understand each other, and work towards healing from past hurts.

You might be feeling a bit hopeless…

Perhaps you or your partner feels unsure about starting couples therapy, and anxious about what the process might look like. Perhaps you’re nervous about being blamed for a challenge in the relationship, or worried that the time won’t be productive.

Every couple is unique, but here’s a little bit about our approach:

  • We are here for the both of you. We don’t take sides, and we listen wholeheartedly to each person’s story.

  • We use evidence-based, attachment-focused methods to help couples identify underlying wants and needs, and how to best communicate these to each other.

  • We understand your time is precious, and work to ensure our time together is productive and in line with your goals.

All topics are up for discussion…

but here are some we hear a lot.

  • You feel unseen and unheard. Your partner might feel unappreciated or unvalued. But when you try to talk it out, each of your defenses seem to get in the way. You might find you are no longer discussing what you initially set off to talk about, and end up hurting each other more in the process. You’ve tried but you just can’t seem to get out of this difficult cycle.

  • Perhaps an affair or deceit has come to light, and suddenly you’re questioning everything. Or perhaps the infidelity was long ago. Maybe you’ve tried your best to move forward, but it seems like it is impossible to feel close again. Many couples struggle to rebuild trust and move forward without professional help.

  • Perhaps the journey to becoming parents has brought up some unexpected challenges for your relationship. Maybe you’ve been surprised by your partner’s parenting style, or the way you are showing up on behalf of your children. It is natural to need some support at these transitional times in your relationship.

  • You long to feel close to your partner again. Or maybe your sex life has become a source of conflict or frustration. Perhaps you and your partner have different needs and mismatched desires for intimacy. Let’s create a safe space to talk through these challenging topics.

A few different options for couples therapy…

Weekly or Biweekly

Weekly or biweekly sessions are a good option for couples who want to set aside time on an ongoing basis to focus on their relationship. These sessions can be 60 or 90 minutes depending on preference, and can also act as a great follow-up to maintain progress made during a couples intensive. It is recommended that couples book a couple of longer sessions at the start of therapy to gain some momentum. Emotionally-focused therapy (EFT) is the primary therapeutic modality that will be used.

Couples Intensives

Couples intensives are a great option for couples who are ready to do a deeper dive or accelerate their progress. Perhaps it is challenging for you and your partner to schedule sessions on a weekly basis, and easier to carve out a day or two together. These sessions can be 1 - 2 full days, and can be for couples in crisis, as well as, those who are working through common issues in communication, parenting, or intimacy. These sessions are booked via email, are offered with our director Lara Rabb, and availability is limited.

Let’s find the connection again.

Two women having a conversation at a small round table near a window in a bright modern office. One woman has long hair and is wearing a light-colored blouse, while the other has curly hair and is wearing a dark top.

We can explore what’s not working, where the hurt stems from, and how to create more peaceful patterns in your relationship again.

Our therapists will work to get to know you and your partner. We will seek to understand goals you have for our work together, and look to identify strengths you once had in your relationship that may have dwindled.

We know couples are busy. It is important to us that our time together is productive and you learn new skills you can take with you out of the therapy space.

We are here to help.
